We will develop partnerships with agencies and organizations that are working to ensure that our schools are a safe and affirming place for our children.

Enjoys Meals with Vegetables

We will educate and ensure that families are provided with the resources and education they need to provide nutritous meals to their families. We will advocate for fruits and vegetables access in communities and will partner with organizations providing opportunities and resources for families to grow their own vegetables..

We will continue to expand the Read to Succeed program to families and communities throughout Sacramento and the surrounding areas. Developed by the National Black Child Development Institute (NBCDI) in 2017, the Read to Succeed program is designed to promote early literacy and language development by supporting families with young children in establishing home libraries with culturally relevant and developmentally appropriate children’s books and supplementary resources. o Providing culturally affirming books to families.
